Dr. Patrick Long
Dr. Long attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed a Family Medicine residency at the Detroit Medical Center and a Medical Genetics residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. His fellowship in Medical Biochemical Genetics was completed at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Patrick currently lives in Denver and specializes in the diagnosis and management of genetic disorders and inborn errors of metabolism in adults.
Dr. Chelsie Hollas
Dr. Hollas grew up in Bryan, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate and Master in Public Health degrees. She attended medical school in El Paso, Texas, at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, followed by an intern year at the University of California San Francisco, East Bay Surgery Residency Program in Oakland, California. She then moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for residency training in Medical Genetics and Genomics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She now lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, daughter and two cats. She enjoys spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors.
Alisha Shudy
Originally from Iowa, Alisha studied biochemistry and genetics at Iowa State University before receiving her master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. As a genetic counselor, Alisha enjoys creating educational materials and visual aids for patients.
Erin Ingraham
After spending the majority of life on the east coast and completing a BA in Psychology, Erin transplanted to Denver in 2018. She began focusing on healthcare administration in the dental field as a pediatric office manager for several years before transitioning to the medical field. Erin joined SequenceMD in January of 2023 and strives to provide patients with an above and beyond experience as they navigate their diagnostic journey.
During Dr. Long’s Medical Genetics residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, he connected with a group of individuals focused on helping non-genetic clinicians identify genetic patients by using online diagnostic assessments. In collaboration with geneticists from University of British Columbia and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Dr. Long started to conceptualize how tools can be built, utilized, and integrated into a physicians’ practice workflow for the benefit of hastening the diagnostic journey for complex patients.
While Dr. Long completed his fellowship in Medical Biochemical Genetics at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado, he partnered with UnX, a management services organization focused on identifying rare disease patients while capturing the objective and subjective value of whole genome sequencing in adult patient populations. Together, they began developing clinical and non-clinical assessments, as part of a suite of decision support tools, to identify those patients who could benefit from genetic testing and to capture the value of genetic testing for these patients.
Utilizing the decision support tools developed with UnX, SequenceMD opened its doors in Denver, Colorado to adult patients with remarkable clinical presentations and their providers seeking diagnostic clarity.
